The member directory is a repository of all the community member’s profiles. It’s a quick and easy way to get full information regarding any other community member within minutes. However, the condition is, that the member profile you wish to view must be ‘public’ and visible to all from their end. If the respective member has used ‘Hide’ in their privacy settings, you may not be able to view their profile. Isn’t it simple, useful & amazing at the same time?

Key Roles with Member Directory

What is your role in the member directory? How do you utilize this feature? Well, there are three major roles of any community member creating or accessing the Member Directory & they’re briefed below:

Admin

You’ve got all the administrative rights here. This parent role gives you full control over all the members as they join the community. You can invite other members to join the community accept requests from others, or block/remove particular profiles too.

User

You are just a directory user with limited rights like viewing the entire directory and getting basic details of the specific community member.

Owner

Here, you’re the directory owner with all the controls at your disposal. You can view and approve members to be a part of your directory. You can also create several directories for members to join.
